Robert de Heredia was the dashing host of Australian TV’s shopping channel but his career came to an abrupt end when he became the prime suspect for the bombing attack on a City Gym personal trainer Brett Boyd and his sexworker Penthouse Pet girlfriend Samantha. In the months following the 1998 bombing, de Heredia was also a target - by a machine gun toting Boyd, wounded by an assassin in his home unit carpark, and in a drive-by shooting in Anzac Parade.
De Heredia decided it was time to leave Sydney, ditching his blood soaked 4wd in Ward Ave. Next stop Bali then into the ether. Nearly 20yrs later he was stopped by immigration official at Gatwick who’d been alerted his travels on a dodgy passport. Extradition and 2 trials later in NSW, he was acquitted. Join Brandon and Duncan for a rollicking ride through a story that is very Sydney - alleged drug deals, colourful identities, lingerie lunches, Nike bikies, drive-by shootings and partying at the Sebel.
Tickers are $25 and includes a cocktail on arrival.
