NSW DISCOVER VOUCHERS MAY BE USED FOR THIS EVENT - SEE SEE BELOW FOR FURTHER INFORMATION

From 6pm.

Miss 3D called it a party. Polly Petrie recognised it as the moment of change. To Kell Boston it was an experience he’ll never forget, and nor should he. He was a 78er, one of the original protesters who changed history and exclaimed: “Out of the bars and into the streets” as they marched from Oxford street to Fitzroy Gardens here in Kings Cross.

in preparation for Mardi Gras 2022, Brandy chats with Kell Boston about what that night in July meant to him, what he thought it meant in its time and what it means now. we’ll discuss the realities of being the resistance who fought for pride, acceptance and celebration. In what promises to be an eye opening interview Kell, will share stories of the gay rights movement in Australia and what it means to be part of history and how it was he and his peers who helped Sydney confront and accept its reality of Queer and here.
